Fortress Fest Announces Final Festival Details

Taking place in the highly respected Cultural District of Fort Worth and in partnership with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the 2018 festival will include a reimagined festival footprint and layout. The 2018 event will be entirely housed within the spacious lawn adjacent to the Will Rogers Coliseum and will include two outdoor main stages featuring non-overlapping sets. The Fortress team is also today unveiling several new and exciting ancillary festival events, including a VIP cocktail reception at Artspace 111 and general admission pre-party at Blackhouse, in addition to previously announced events like the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth hosting a series of performances featuring local music acts that will take place from

noon to 3:00 p.m.

On the same night, April 27 from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Fortress Festival will host an official Day 1 pre-game party at FW Blackhouse, featuring complimentary beverages and music from Dallas-based DJ Christy Ray, daughter of DJ Spinderella who is the famed DJ of Salt-N-Pepa. Tickets can be purchased for $14 in advance and $17 the day-of (click HERE). Please note that automatic entry is not included with a festival ticket.

Fortress Festival has also just revealed the official vendor lineup, both culinary and non-culinary for the second annual festival. 2018 food vendors will feature some of the best bites across the Lone Star State including Micklethwait Craft Meats, Salsa Limon, Papa Luke’s Gravy Balls, Doom Street Eats, Avoca, Shawarma Point, Rollin’n’Bowlin, and Crazy Burger; while additional vendors are set to include a variety of favorites from Fort Worth and beyond like FW Locals, Windfall, Grav/Labs, Holistic Hemp Company, Soulful Gypsy, To the Moon, Eva Lena Hair Extensions Salon, KXT and Arttooth.

The second annual Fortress Festival aims to offer both local residents and music-lovers across the country an unbeatable music lineup featuring internationally acclaimed headliners, alongside today’s hottest up-and-coming artists, as well as a variety of local North Texas artists. Single-day general admission passes to the fest are still available for just $59, while single-day VIP passes cost $149. Additionally, GA weekend passes are still available for $99 as well as two-day VIP weekend passes, which are on sale for $265. Both GA and VIP passes offer free access to the Modern’s galleries. Perks for VIP ticket-holders include exclusive events, preferred viewing areas, an official Fortress Festival t-shirt, free parking, expedited entry, dedicated lounges and restroom facilities, exclusive guided gallery tours at the Modern, discounts on the merchandise from the Modern, memberships and programs, and more.

Entirely new this year, VIP ticket-holders have the option to add-on exclusive festival-only meals for just $19 in advance and $23 the day-of. These delectable bites will include paella

Chartered in 1892, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is the oldest art museum in Texas and one of the oldest museums in the western United States.
