Tierra Whack exploded onto the scene during the summer of 2018 with her eclectic and critically acclaimed debut album “Whack World”. The strange thing about this album, which was released with a visual companion, is that it was a collection of 15 one minute songs.

As unconventional as this is for a debut album, it turned out to be a stroke of genius. On each track, Whack finds a unique and captivating flow or melody that leaves the listener wanting more. Standout tracks  “Hungry Hippo,” “Pet Cemetery,” and “Hookers” have helped her amass over a million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Growing up in Philadelphia, Tierra Whack (her birthname) always had a way with words.  She started rapping as a teenager and first got noticed after local hip-hop group “We run the Streets” uploaded a video of her rapping to their youtube channel. However, it wasn’t until a few years later when she developed into the creative powerhouse she is today. Her appeal comes from the inability to place her in any boxes. You never know what her next song will sound like or when it's coming.

In the months following the release of “Whack world”, Whack received co-signs from some of the biggest names in the industry like Chance the Rapper and Lil Yachty and even received a Grammy nomination. As Apple Music’s up next artist, she is currently releasing a string of singles and recently performed her song “Only Child” on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
