Festival Friday: ACL Late Night at Stubb's.
First things first, my ears are still ringing; it’s been several days, but it was so worth it! I went to ACL’s Late Night Show for Weekend One, and I got to see some pretty amazing acts. The first band, The Heirs, was one of the best openers I have ever seen. They are an alternative, kind of electronica band. I would recommend checking them out if you haven’t already. Next up was Walk The Moon – the band I was waiting for! As per their usual style, the band put on an energetic, lively, and entertaining show, complete with an entrance to The Lion King’s “Circle of Life,” audience participation, and the appearance of the Texas flag on stage. There was never a dull moment. Walk The Moon performed at Weekend One of ACL and went back for Weekend Two as well. It was nice being able to see them perform at a more intimate venue. I, not being a very tall person, was not able to capture any great photos, but I snapped a few nice shots. I waited after the show to meet the band, which was so cool! After about an hour of waiting, the guys came over to have a meet-and-greet. I must say, they are some of the most down to earth, genuine people. To sum everything up, 10/10 would recommend The Heirs, 10/10 would recommend Walk The Moon, 0/10 would NOT recommend the port-a-potties at Stubb’s, but then again, those are never a good idea, ever. #lifelessonswithKathryn - Kathryn Farley
